Here I am at the 2010 International Kettlebell and Fitness Federation, my first kettlebell competition, It was an awesome experience! I competed in the long cycle 3 min sprint, in the 95+ kg weight class with 24 kg bells. I attained a personal record of 22 reps. I know with just the knowledge I gained, I could get that number up to near 30 by just cleaning up my form. My wife has been bitten by the kettlebell bug, she talked to many of the competitors and and is going to enter a competition, she just ordered an 8 kg and 12 kg First Place Competition Kettlebell. I also ran into an old friend who was competing, it was great to see him. We definitely have to train together sometime.
There is something special about competing and being with a group of like minded individuals, when it comes to kettlebells.
It was a great day.

Great first lift! Seriously! You hit the nail on the head when you posted about cleaning up your form. Form is everything! Work on getting the bells to move straight up with the chest bump. See if you can get a little more comfortable in the rack position if you are going to do a full long cycle. Also maybe try to get the legs involved more on the clean. That is what I am working on now.
Let me know what you are going to do at the Arnold. Maybe a little “friendly” competition will do us well. I am looking at a full long cycle with 53′s at 95 kg. A big goal, but I have a lot of time.
